This part of the Sequoia National Forest offers miles of novice and moderately challenging trails and a small sand pit. The popular Buck Rock Jeep Trail leads to a fire lookout that has panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, Kings River, Monarch and Jennie Lakes Wilderness plus the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Camping is available at Big Meadows Campground, Buck Rock Campground and near the sand pit. For a unique camping experience check out the Big Meadows Cabin.
