This state forest offers about 25 miles of ATV trails that can also be explored by snowmobiles during the winter months.  Nearby camping is available along with some swimming and non-motorized boating opportunities at Benedict Pond.  An onsite campground offers 12 campsites available from May through October (Call for availability). Wildlife consists of black bear, deer and bobcats.  The area is open to OHVs from May 1 through the last Sunday in November, but hiking and mountain bike trails are also available.

1) Take I-90 west to exit 2, about 30 miles
2) Continue about .5 miles, veer left at fork near end of off ramp
3) Turn left (south) on Housatonic St., continue .03 miles
4) Veer right onto Pleasant St. (SR-102), continue 2.6 miles
5) Turn left (south) on Pine St., then immediately veer right, continue .4 miles
6) Turn left on Beartown Mountain Rd., continue 3.3 miles (Beartown Mountain Rd. will fork at 2.2 miles, stay to the right)
7) Staging area is on the right (west).
