Located just minutes away from Lake Superior, this area offers miles of various level trails. The western section of the trail system mainly features novice friendly trails while the eastern section has more difficult trails. Terrain mainly consists of peat bogs, numerous lakes and conifer trees. There is no designated campsites in the forest hoever dispersed camping is allowed.

3) Turn right (north) onto Spirit Lake Rd., continue 6.3 miles
4) Turn left (west) at T-intersection onto Ditchbank Forest Rd., continue .5 miles
5) Turn left (south) onto Gravel Pit Rd., follow to staging area.
