 | When Las Vegas locals want to catch some big air, they go here, where the crushed grains of quartz and feldspar rock make the sand firm and easy to navigate. With lots of small washes and large areas of dispersed vegetation surrounding the area, it's a fun place to set up camp, carve a track for the kiddies, let the dog run, and kick back for a BBQ. Crowds are small, mountain views are great, and the access road is firm and smooth. Bring your own shade and water. |
