Other Names

Pisgah Trails, Pisgah Reservoir, Ladder Hill, Tuffs Pond, Bishop Mountain, Fullan Pond, Lily Pond, North Round Pond, Baker Pond, Mt. Pisgah, Dogwood Swamp

Last Known StatusTemporarily Closed  (closed for mud season)

This state park offers about 15 miles of multiple use trails that wind through a beautiful forest with numerous ponds and a few ridge climbs of various difficulty. The trail from the southern point starts out a bit rocky but eventually smooths out. There is a short section of paved road just north of the staging area near Pisgah Reservoir.

There are several parking spots to choose from however the staging area off of Highway 119 features plenty of room for large trailers or RVs. Overnight parking is not permitted but Forest Lake Campground is just a few miles away and offers RV hookups overlooking a scenic lake.

The trails are open daily except during mud season (April-May). Exact dates vary each year, so call first or check with the New Hampshire Bureau of Trails before heading out.
