Other Names

Hatfield Mccoy Trails

Last Known StatusOpen

One of the newest additions to Hatfield McCoy Trails, this location eventually ties into Indian Ridge and Pinnacle Creek, making this one of the largest trail systems east of the Mississippi River.

The main staging area is located on the western side of US Route 52 and has about two acres of parking and restrooms. The actual trails are located about 1/2 mile east past the staging area off Simmons River Road, and ATVs are permitted on the road to access the trailhead. A permit is required to ride here which must be obtained prior to arrival. Permit can be purchased online, at Bramwell City Hall or through local businesses. The terrain is described as mostly novice with a few challenging side trails.

Overnight parking is not permitted at the staging area but there are several local lodging accommodations that offer direct trail access.
