Antietam Motorsports Park has reopened after a period of closure. Currently the park will be open for special events and races. The property has about five miles of woods trails and a one mile long motocross track. For more information contact the Motocross Council of Maryland.

This gorgeous track boasts natural terrain and a deep green forest backdrop. It is the home track of the Mid Atlantic Motocross Association and is considered the preferred MX facility in AMA District 7. This small trail system consists of three trails however only one is open to motorized use. The motorized trail is about three miles long and consists mainly of a gravel road with several hills. Maple, cherry and oak trees make up the forest scenery. Turkey, black bear and deer inhabit the area. Nearby Camping Swallow Falls State Park offers camping facilities.

Located in western Maryland, this area offers a few non-motorized trails and a 4x4 trail that is about six miles long. The trail is open year-round and is usually dry and rocky but is closed seasonally to offroad use between December 15 through March 15.

All OHVs must display a Maryland ORV Sticker which can be purchased at the Savage River State Forest Ranger Station. During the winter months snowmobiles are permitted on the trails. There are numerous primitive campsites scattered throughout the forest however nearby New Germany State Park offers boating, camping, swimming and cabin rentals.

This novice friendly trail is about two miles long and mainly consists of a gravel road that winds through a hardwood forest. The trail is seasonally closed to offroad use between December 15 through March 15. During the winter months snowmobiles are permitted.

This multiple use trail system offers about seven miles of novice dirt and gravel logging roads and about three miles of hiking trails. The trails wind through a scenic forest that contains a mixture of various pines, spruce and hardwood trees with some sections following the historic Potomac River.

A permit is required and can be purchased in advance by either visiting the Potomac State Forest Office during the week or one of the Maryland DNR Service Centers. Numerous turkey, black bear and white-tailed deer inhabit the area.

Formerly known as Delmarva and Easton MX, Speed Citi offers a MX track for bikes, a track for quads and bikes, a kiddie track and 2 miles of trails. The park is open for business Friday though Sunday from 10am-5pm. Practice fees are around $40/person with members getting a discounted rate. Formerly known as Southern Maryland ATV Park, Wicomico Motorsports Park offers several miles of ATV trails on 300 acres, a kids "Fun" track and a 10 acre motocross track. The park is open year-round during weekends plus any holidays that fall on a Monday. Primitive camping is permitted and new shaded sites have been added. Electric hookups are now available and are around $10/night. Call before you haul.

Located in southwestern Maryland, this property offers over 3,000 acres of woods trails, steep hill climbs, a motocross track and mud pits. The trails range from easy to difficult with some offering scenic views of the Potomac River and of the surrounding valley. There are also a couple swimming holes and primitive camping is permitted. Once open to OHVs, this 18 mile novice jeep trail is now closed to offroad use. The trail looped through a scenic forest of hickory and oak trees. Some sections could be muddy with several moderately sized mud puddles. There was three staging opportunities for the trail loop and three-wheelers were prohibited. Primitive camping is permitted throughout the forest however a permit is required and can be obtained by contacting the Green Ridge State Forest office.

This area offers about six miles of multiuse trails that wind through a mixed hardwood forest. Primitive campsites can be found at various points along the trail. The trails are usually damp with loose rocks and they follow a river with several stream crossings. Call before you haul as this system occasionally gets flooded.

This MX complex offers five different tracks for all levels of riding skills. Access to the track is $50.00 for non-members and $25.00 for members. Private lessons are offered for $50.00 per hour with a 2-hour minimum.   More...
