Located on Ambrose Lake with boating and fishing access, this campground offers rustic lake front camping in addition to direct access to the state forest motorized trails. The campground has about 19 primitive sites and most will accommodate 40 foot vehicle/trailer. There are no RV hookups but the camp does have vault toilets and potable water from a hand pumped well. Sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only, with no reservations. There are about 23 miles of woods trails open to vehicles under 50 inches wide.

Situated on 80 acres, this area offers a main and separate peewee track. Onsite amenities include a concession stand, childrens playground and a swimming pond. Fishing is allowed (catch and release) and overnight camping is permitted for no additional fee. Check website for current practice and race schedule.

Open on weekends from 11am to 6pm to both quads and motorcycles, this track is about one mile long and consists mainly of clay and sand. Overnight camping is currently not permitted however there are plans to add camping in the future.

This 27-mile loop is open to both ATVs and motorcycles. Nearby Big Lake Campground offers primitive camping for small trailers.

Open to motorcycles only, this 26-mile singletrack loop winds through a mixed hardwood forest that consists of various pines, oak, tamarack, cedar, aspen and spruce trees with thick bushes and fern foliage. Started in 1928, this club offers a 1.3 mile MX and a .5 mile peewee track along with a 8-mile harescramble course. Contact the club for membership fees.

This track is open for practice Wednesday 2pm-8pm and Saturday 10am-6pm. A peewee track available for beginners and is called “Little Air”. Membership is required to ride on the track which is $20/year or $5/day. The fee is $20 to ride on the big track and $10 to ride the small track. An unlimited practice pass is available for $300.

This scenic area offers 8 miles of sandy and hard packed trails that wind next to Cranberry Lake. Primitive camping and boating opportunities can be found at nearby De Tour Campground.

This large sport park has a motocross track, RV dump station, restroom and showers, bike spray wash, air and water station, kids play ground, volleyball and a horshoe pit area. Overnight camping is allowed and there is no fee and there are no RV hookup sites. ATVs are allowed on Saturday. Park is open Friday through Sunday. Call or see website for details.

This indoor motocross facility has one track that is open to all size motorcycles. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 3pm-9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-6pm. Quads are not allowed. Amenities include vending machines, a heated pit area, locker rooms, restrooms and shower facilities. See website for current schedule and rates.

This area offers two staging areas, 38 miles of trails and a nearby primitive campground that has 18 tent sites and 4 sites for small trailers.

Open since 1980, this track is open to both quads and motorcycles. Onsite amenities include restroom and shower facilities, concession stand, spray wash, water station for RVs, children’s playground and ample parking with great views of the track. Open practice is held seasonally from March through October. The main track is about 1.75 miles long and consists of a mixture of sand, clay and loamy soil. The peewee track is about 1 mile long and is one of the largest in the state. A mud bog is also available and is open during special events.

Open during select dates, this facility offers a motocross track along with swimming ponds, restroom and shower facilities, RV hookups and concession stands. Check website for current practice and race schedule.

This family friendly campground offers direct trail access to over 40 miles of ATV trails. Trails also lead into the nearby towns which welcome ATV riders. Onsite amenities include RV hookups, camping supplies, propane, shower facilities and a 50’s style diner. Tubing, kayaking and fishing can be done at the nearby AuSable River Trout stream.

Open to motorcycles only, this area offers about 30 miles of marked, one-way only singletrack trails that wind through a dense hardwood forest over moderately hilly terrain. This area offers two motocross tracks and allows free overnight camping on Friday and Saturday nights. The main track is 1.5 miles long and consists of gravel, sand and loamy dirt with hardpack sections. The track closes during the winter months so be sure to call or check the website for current schedule and fees.

This privately operated track is open daily from 10am to 8pm and features a camping area with showers and an RV sewage dump. There is also a swimming area, bike wash, and drinking water and restrooms are available. The track itself has a starting gate with doubles, tabletops and some up and downhill sections. Admission is $8.00.

This brand new trail system opened to the public June 27, 2009 thanks to the hard work of the Upper Michigan’s Sandstormers ORV Club and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Open to motorcycles only, this loop is 27-miles long and is geared toward the more advanced rider. Nearby primitive camping can be found at the Flowing Well Campground which is situated right next to the Sturgeon River.

Open year-round to all OHVs, this are offers hare scramble trails, gravel play pits and mud holes. Overnight camping is not allowed and during the dates of March 15 through May 15 trucks are prohibited and ATVs and motorcycles are restricted to the 8-acre scramble area. A Michigan ORV sticker is required which can be purchased at most outdoor / sporting shops for $16.25.

This fairly new motocross park offers three tracks that cater to all riding levels – one main that us 1.25 miles long, one arena cross style and one peewee. Membership is $25/rider but it not mandatory however encouraged as members get practice discounts. Overnight camping is not permitted however camping facilities are close by.

This 46-mile long motorcycle trail connects to the Sandtown trail which offers an additional 32-mile loop. ATVs are not allowed and a Michigan ORV license is required to ride on this trail.

This 27-mile loop is open to both motorcycles and ATVs.

This offroad park is open to ATVs and motorcycles and offers both motocross tracks and trails. Amenities on site include full RV hookups and an RV dump station. See website for details.

This 22-mile long trail is open to motorcycles only. A Michigan ORV license is required and can be purchased from the below link and is good until April 1. Red Bud!!! This well known park is annual host to a round of the MX Nationals series and has a strong reputation of quality and professionalism. A full range of standard ammenities are offered in addition to water, a bike wash and a peewee track. The track is open for practice about twice per month. No memberships are required for open riding days, and practice fees run about $30 for riders and $5 for spectators. Open riding usually consists of rotating sessions for novice, expert, and quads (Expert group requires AMA or District card) on the pro track, as well as sessions for the kids track. Open to motorcycles only, this 32-mile loop eventually connects to the Newberry-Rexton motorcycle loop which offers an additional 44 miles. Camping and RV hookup facilities are within 10 miles north or west of the staging area.

Over 400 acres of sand dunes with panoramic lake views can be found at this state park. A 10’ whip flag is mandatory plus all vehicles must display a Michigan ORV and State Park sticker, which both can be purchased at the Voucher Center building before entering the park. Entry vouchers are required during summer and three day weekends which can also be picked up free of charge at the Voucher Center. The park is open April 1 through October 31 from 9am-8pm. Open year-round, this area offers about 10 miles of trails. Saint Helen Campground offers RV hookups along with direct trail access. During winter months the trail system is open to snowmobiles. Detailed Trail Map.

This track is open weekdays from 4pm to 9pm and weekends from 2pm to 7pm. The track is closed on Tuesday and whenever the north wind is blowing, so check the weather forecast before heading out. A waiver form must be filled out and can be obtained at the BP gas station that is located about 1.5 miles west of the track.

Located in the Pere Marquette state forest, this area offers two separate trail loops – one 19-mile motorcycle trail and one 18-mile OHV trail. Turkey, deer and bear inhabit the area, and vegetation consists of pine, oak and cedar trees. Direct trail access and overnight camping can be found at the Carrieville State Forest Campground. This raceway offers a 1-mile long track and harescramble course that is open for practice on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10am to dark. Overnight camping is allowed for $5 per night during practice weekends.
