This small area has a few miles of woods trails, a couple hill climbs and a few mud holes. Most of the trails are fairly easy making this a good place to bring a beginner. Located in the Sproul State Forest, ATV enthusiasts will find miles of trails that consist of old coal-mining roads that wind through deep forest vegetation. Trails are mostly hard-packed with a few creek crossings. Deer, black bear and wild turkey are among the wildlife that inhabits the area. Camping is permitted however a permit is required and can be obtained by contacting the Sproul State Forest.

This trail is open for the summer season beginning the Friday before Memorial Day through the last weekend of September, then reopens after the flintlock/muzzleloader hunting season ends (generally around mid January) through April 1.

The name 'Bloody Skillet' is thought to have originated from a local farm in the area that used to serve as a slaughterhouse during a period when the forest was being mined for coal.

This park offers three outdoor motocross tracks along with one indoor and one outdoor peewee track and a four-mile long woods trail. All tracks are open to both quads and motorcycles. Camping is permitted and cabins are available for rent. Park is open Thursday through Monday from 8am to 8pm. Amenities include restroom and shower facilities, RV hookups, a clubhouse plus volleyball and horseshoe pits and swimming pond complete with a water slide and beach.

Located in Dunmore, Pennsylvania this area offers about 2,000 square miles of wood trails open to ATVs, UTVs and dirtbikes. Property offers a variety of terrain that consists of rocky section, deep water crossings, steep hillclimbs, mud pits and scenic panoramic views of the Pocono Mountains. Daily and seasonal passes are available. Overnight parking is not permitted however camping can be found at nearby Tobyhanna State Park, Hemlock Campground and Cottages and Mount Pocono Campground. This family friendly park offers two loops totalling arond 41 miles of one-way trails, along with a motocross play area and peewee track. This recreation area is open year-round except during hunting season and snowmobiles are welcome during winter months.

Both day and annual memberships can be purchased onsite, however if you are a non-member you must notify the park at least 24-hours prior to your arrival. Primitive camping and campfires are permitted however no outside firewood may be brought into the park as to prevent transportation of certain insects and plant diseases. This area in eastern Pennsylvania offers about eight miles of ATV trails with scenic forest views and wildlife. Nearby Pecks Pond offers a marina with kayak and canoe rentals with an onsite restaurant. No gas motors are permitted on the pond.

This large trail system offers many miles of trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Advanced riders will enjoy the Marienville section which offers a challenging 23 mile one-way only motorcycle trail and a 14 mile ATV loop that consists of old forest roads and railroad grades. The Timberline section offers an addtional 38 miles of novice friendly trails that consist of flat gravel and dirt roads.

There are a variety of staging options for trail access. Camping is permitted at the Timberline and Beuhler staging areas and also along the trails. This trail system is available to ATVs and motorcycles from the Friday before Memorial Day until the last Sunday of September as well as from December 20 through April 1. Snowmobiles are permitted on the Timberline trails during the winter months. A trail permit is required in advance to ride the trails which can be purchased at several local vendors or by contacting the Marienville Ranger District at (814) 927-5700. ATVs must provide proof of liability insurance and registration to obtain the permit.

This area has about 18 miles of ATV trails that go outside the boundaries of the Sweet Root Natural Area and Martin Hill Wild Area. There are two trailheads that can be accessed near the Blankley picnic area. Bobcats, wild turkey and deer can be occasionally seen. Nearby Shawnee State Park offers camping, several boat ramps and swimming beaches.

This area offers around 35 miles of trails during the summer months and about 42 miles of trails during the winter months. The trails are open for the summer season starting the Friday before Memorial Day through the last full weekend in September and re-opens in the winter the day after deer hunting season (generally two weeks after Thanksgiving) through April 1. Primitive camping is permitted throughout the forest however a permit is required which can be obtained by contacting the Michaux State Forest. ATVs must be registered, have proof of liability insurance and be 50" or less in width. Motorcycles are not permitted.

This facility offers a two mile long motocross track, a supercross track with lights, a freestyle course and foam pit plus 6.5 miles of harescramble trails. Quads are permitted to practice on select dates, so check website for schedule. New additions this year are an RC track and paintball events. The property also has over one mile of river front access that is stocked yearly with trout.

This park offers about 70 miles of marked, groomed and mostly one-way trails that wind through a lush green forest with hill climbs, rock crawling, mud bogs and several creek crossings. The main attraction is an underground limestone mine that you can ride through. Headlights are a must to take on this ½ mile guided underground loop which featuring an underground lake deep enough to stall an ATV. The park is generally open year-round from 9am to dusk, but is closed to non-members during the first two weeks of December for hunting season. Other highlights include cabin rentals, RV hookups and ATV rentals.

This family oriented park offers about 100 miles of marked and rated trails, rolling hills, mud pits, steep hill climbs, rock gardens plus a makeshift motocross track.

This coal mining company now offers trail riding on their property however a permit is required and must be obtained first by either applying in person at the Pottsville office or by ordering online. Cost is about $125/rider/year. Children under the age of 12 are not permited to ride on the property. The trails are open year-round however during hunting season it is advised to wear hunter's orange clothing. Camping, boating and swimming opportunities can be found at nearby Locust Lake State Park.

There are two main loops to explore at this trail system. The northern loop is rated as "most difficult" and the lower loop is rated as "more difficult". Both loops are about 11 miles long and there are no easy or novice trails. The trails mainly consist of steep, rocky inclines and several deep mud holes. Camping is prohibited at the main staging area but primitive camping is permitted along the trails as long as you do not block any routes.

Located in western Pennsylvania, this new park has 1,250 acres open to all OHVs. About 15 miles of trail are open to all skill levels and about 18 miles are for the more experienced riders. There are also miles of 4x4 and UTV trails, steep hill climbs, rock gardens and a 4 mile natural terrain grass track. Kayaking, tubing, fishing (fishing license required) and primitive camping are also permitted.

Open to street legal motorcycles only, this area offers about 90 miles of trails separated by sections of pavement. The trails are marked by yellow blazes and can be steep and rocky in some sections. The trail system can be accessed by two trailheads - the Sand Mountain Staging area is located on the west side and the Jacks Mountain Staging on the east side. Camping can be found at the Seven Mountains Campground or Poe Valley State Park.

Located in the Bald Eagle State Forest just north of the Juaniata and Snyder county lines, this area offers about 17 miles of enduro style trails that are geared toward the more advanced rider. Trails are marked with yellow flags and terrain mainly consists of numerous rocky sections, steep climbs with sharp off camber turns.

This OHV area offers about 15 miles of trails with three staging areas. Area consists of semi-rocky hardpacked trails with the occasional muddy section. Camping is permitted at the staging areas however a permit is required which can be obtained by contacting the Buchanan State Forest at (717) 485-3148. The staging areas on Cove Road are the least visited making them the most private. Trails are open to ATV use Memorial Day weekend through the last full weekend in September. Camping is permitted at the main staging area and along the side of the trails.
