This part of the Colville National Forest offers over 40 miles of technical single track trails that wind through open meadows to mountain peaks. The terrain is rugged and has some steep climbs, loose chunk rock, narrow switchbacks and steep descents. The trails form long loops and eventually tie into the Little Pend Oreille Trail System.

The main staging area connects to the southern part of the trail system and has four campsites, each with a picnic table, fire pit and hand pump water spigots.

The area is generally open for riding between May through October but the trails may be accessible during winter months. Call before you haul.

This large area offers about 100 miles of trails open to motorized use. The northern half is set aside for OHV use and the southern half is open to hiking, horseback and mountain bike riding. The trails can be slippery and muddy however they are well maintained by various clubs. Nearby Straddeline ORV Park offers camping and direct trail access.

This large trail system has multiple trailheads and campgrounds to choose from. Most of the trail system consists of single track motorcycle trails but there are some narrow ATV trails as well.

Some beginner friendly motorcycle trails can be found at Taneum Junction and Icewater Creek Campgrounds. Manastach Campground has a novice friendly ATV loop. The trails do close seasonally between April 1 through June 15 but some trails may remain closed due to trail maintenance so be sure to check with the Cle Elum Ranger District for current conditions.

This motocross park offers a 1.5 mile long track, a .5 mile long flat track and a GP course that ranges from 6 to 10 miles long. The park is open for practice during select dates and is posted at the Over The Bars Gang website.

This area offers about 45 miles of woods trails and numerous scenic views of Mt. Rainier. The trails can be rocky and muddy with off camber sections. Evans Creek Campground has 23 primitive campsites that are available on a first come first serve basis. A Northwest Forest Pass is required to ride the trails and can be purchased at the nearby Wilkeson Grocery or Burnett Grocery.

Located on the inside of the Evergreen Speedway’s Nascar Track, this motocross track resembles the Daytona SX track since it is on the inside of the asphalt track. The layout is geared for all skill levels and is a fast track that consists of numerous jumps and different style corners that range from flat rutted and banked to off camber berms, table tops, step ups, step downs, rhythm section, option lines, and whoops.

The track is watered, groomed and ripped each day of operation and is generally open for practice on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3pm-9pm and is lighted for nighttime riding. The track also hosts weekend practices and motocross races. Flat track racing is also available during practice days.

The riding season is usually held between the months of April through the end of October. Track updates are regularly posted on Facebook or Twitter.

This large recreational park has trails, an obstacle course, an MX track, ATV track, a pee-wee, go-kart track, and a model aircraft field. The park allows overnight camping and offers full RV hookups, restrooms and shower facilities. The park is generally open weekends in the winter and Thursday through Sunday during the rest of the year but hours of operation vary so be sure to check the website for current schedules and visitor information. Developed by the Department of Natural Resources in the early 70's, this system of one-way forest trails offers some well maintained singletrack and plenty of easy to moderate terrain. There is a day use area however camping is not permitted.

Open year-round, this area consists of dunes and several trails that wind through sagebrush and juniper trees. Primitive camping is permitted and there are no services but there are plans to add BBQ grills, trashcans, shelters and picnic tables in the future. Whip flags are required and a permit must be filled out before arrival, which can be obtained by contacting the Spokane BLM office. The first two miles of Peterson Road is located on private property and permission must be obtained from the local landowners.

Located next to the Idaho border, this area offers about 16 miles of trails that is open to day use riding. The trails are well maintained and are open year-round but may close temporarily during fire season or for wet weather conditions. Camping is not permitted at the staging area however nearby Liberty Lake Park has 22 RV sites and 12 tent sites.

About 3,000 acres of rolling sand dunes are available here for motorized use. Camping is permitted but there are no facilities. Direct access to the lake makes this a choice spot so you can bring along the water toys too. Note that the dunes are covered with volcanic ash and tend to be little dusty.

New riders should note that this is a dune area so something like a Sand Snake paddle tire for motorcycles or Sedona Cyclones sand tires for ATVs may be helpful. Failure to use a sand tire in deep sand can sometimes result in unnecessary wear or damage to your vehicle.

Membership fee is $360/rider/year however can be reduced to $180/year if working during special events or attending work parties. This part of the Reiter Foothills State Forest offers around 4 miles of single track motorcycle trails, 2 miles of ATV trails and about a ½ mile long 4x4 course with obstacles for modified trucks.

The ATV trails are mostly hard packed and are layered with loose gravel rock. The 4x4 trail has some large rocks, tree stumps, and some narrow and offcamber turns.

The trails are open during weekends but are closed during weekdays for grooming and maintenance plus construction of new trails.

This popular locals area has been around since the 80’s and offers about 600 acres of hill climbs, play areas and miles of trails that wind through a ponderosa pine forest. Amenities include loading ramps, picnic shelters, a beginners area and restroom facilities. Camping is not permitted but nearby Bowl & Pitcher Campground offers both primitive and full RV hookups sites.

This area offers a three directional trail system, single track trails, 4x4 trails and mud bogs, a 1/8th miles dirt oval flat track plus three motocross tracks that consist of a main, junior and beginner to choose from. There is also direct access to the Capitol State Forest which offers an additional 100 miles of multi-use trails.

The park has over 300 campsites which are on a first come first serve basis however reservations are accepted for an additional fee. Firewood is available for around $7/bundle and amenities include restrooms, hot showers and picnic shelters. A concession stand and parts trailer is available during summer weekends. Riding lessons are available during Mondays on main track. Future plans are to add a kids playground, volleyball and RC car track.

The park has a seasonal schedule and is open April through May and September through October Friday through Sunday 9am to 9pm with the motocross track open 10am to 5pm during non-event weekends. Summer hours begin June 1 through August 31 and is open daily with the track open Friday through Monday 10am to 5pm. During the winter months the park may be open during nice weekends if the track is ready but call before you haul to check park status.

Open year-round, this state forest offers about 170 miles multiple use deep woods trails. The trails can get dusty during summer months but offer great riding during the rainy season. The forest has several primitive campgrounds to choose from with beginner friendly trails. Reservations are no longer required at Tahuya River Horse Camp but there are designated non-motorized only weekends so check the forest website before heading out. (This area is a HUGE and a Rino or Chatterbox is recommended.)
