DESCRIPTION
This area boasts 1200 acres of open area with a variety of desert trails, powerline roads, and some isolated sand dunes. The dunes offer some nice views of the river but you cannot ride all the way to the water. There is no camping, and no day use amenities such as picnic tables or shade. Lodging can be found at the RV resort directly accross the road, which also has a small market, boat ramp and some nice waterfront camping. Reservations are recommended for all resorts and campgrounds in the area.

From: Phoenix, AZ
1) Take I-10 west about 125 miles to Quartsite
2) Take AZ 95 north (Exit 19), continue 35 miles north to city of Parker
3) From downtown Parker, cross the river to the west bank, turn right and head north on Parker Dam Road
4) Continue 11 miles to entrance on the left.

Note: You may also access this area from the north, from Lake Havasu City, but you must cross Parker Dam, which is closed to RV's and trailers.

This is about as close as you can get to the actual water while riding in the OHV area, but there are multiple hilltops with great views of the lake.

Benders Market and RV Resort sits directly accross the street from the main entrance.  Behind this building there are numerous shoreline camping sites.

This is a good example of the mixed terrain in the area.  Some hard pack and sharp rocks as well as deep fine sand dunes.

The access to the main staging area is a smooth flat gravel road. No problem.
