This area at one time offered about six miles of multiple-use trails but is now permanently closed to motorized use. The trails are still open for hiking, horseback riding and mountain bike use. Primitive campsites can be found at various points along the trail. The trails are usually damp with loose rocks and they follow a river with several stream crossings. Call before you haul since the trails occasionally gets flooded.

3) Turn left (east) on an unmarked dirt road, park here.

3) Turn left (east) on Big Run Road, continue 4.9 miles
4) Turn left on Savage River Road, continue about 4 miles toward the trail system. Parking is on the left.
