Arknansaw Cycle Park features a well maintained 1.25 mile long motocross track surrounded by grassy meadows and tall trees. The main MX track is open daily for practice for both motorcycles and quads. There is also a pee wee track and an eight mile hare scramble course. Practice fees run about $20/day and annual memberships for individuals and families are also available. The park is host to various AMA sanctioned point events and CMA sactioned competitions, so check the schedule on the track website or call before you haul. Primitive camping is permitted for a small fee.

Open to ATVs only, this 2500-acre park offers miles of marked sandy trails that wind through a hardwood forest. Ample parking, picnic tables and vault toilets can be found at the staging area. The trail system is open between the dates of May 19 through November 1.

Buffalo River Trail

This 36-mile long multiuse trail follows the highway and the meandering Buffalo River. There is one staging area in Modovi and one in Fairchild which both offers direct trail access. The trail mainly consists of an old railroad trestle that is fairly smooth and hardpacked, making it a good choice for novice riders. The scenery consists of surrounding farms and forests. The trail is open year round and during winter months snowmobiles are allowed. Dirtbikes are not allowed on this trail.

This 122-acre off road facility offers a 1.2-mile long natural terrain motocross track, a hill climb area and miles of hare scrambles. A membership is required to access the park, which can be purchased for $90.00. The park is open between the dates of April 1 through October 29.

This area offers 56 miles hardpacked and level ATV trails that wind through a scenic forest that consists of various maple, oak, aspen and birch trees. The name “Dead Horse” comes from an unfortunate event that happened back in 1900 when a team of horses fell through ice and perished. Foxes, raccoons, rabbits and white-tailed deer are among the wildlife that can be found throughout the forest. Camp Loretta is the suggested staging area for large trailers as it offers ample parking while the northeastern Dead Horse Slough trailhead offers a smaller staging area. There is no fee for camping but there is a daily use fee which is $5/day or you can purchase a annual pass for $20/year. This trail system had three miles of trails added in 2008 and there are plans to add 15 miles of additional trails over the next four years. The trails are closed from March 15 through April 30.

Open to members only, this motocross track is open to quads and is available for practice Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to dark. There are a handful of short trails however they are used during hare scramble events. Membership is $300/rider for the first year however the price goes down after the first year.

Located in the waterfall capitol of Wisconsin, this trail system consists of 130 miles of groomed ATV trails that wind through a heavily wooded forest. The Dun-Good Riders maintain the trails on a weekly basis and also help maintain the snowmobile trails during the winter months. The McClintock County Park Campground offers direct trail access and several local businesses in and near Dunbar offer direct trail access.

This popular ATV destination consists of over 110 miles of marked trails and forest roads. Open to ATVs only, terrain consists of deep-water crossings, very muddy sections and wooden bridge crossings. The trails are open from May 1 through October 31.

This seasonal recreation area offers about 10 miles of woods trails, two MX and ATV tracks and a mud bog play area. Park amenities include picnic areas, tables, BBQ grills, children’s playground, hot & cold water & restrooms. The park is operated by the Rapid Angels Motorcycle Club and usually opens on the first weekend of April through October. Park is open on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Open to ATVs only, this park has 20 miles of trails that are open daily from 8am to dusk. Onsite amenities include a campground with electric hookups, potable water, restroom and shower facilities, laundromat along with direct trail access. The track is open for practice from 10am to 5pm and consists of a mixture of loamy dirt and sand. The nearby scenic Embarrass River flows through the property and is fairly shallow in certain areas.

This National Forest offers over 60 miles of multi-use trails that consist of old forest service and snowmobile roads. The trail system is open to ATV use from May 15 through November 15, and during winter months snowmobiles are allowed to use the trails. Forest vegetation consists of blackberry, raspberry and wild rose bushes. There are multiple staging and camping areas that offer direct trail access.

Located on the Bayfield County Fairgrounds, this area offers a motocross and peewee track that is open during select dates for both practice and race events. Membership is not required however is advised as members get discounted rates. Nearby Lake superior is only about 20 miles away and offers numerous boat ramps and public beaches.

This area offers two one-way loops that consist of 16.5 miles of pure single track trails that are only open to motorcycles. Onsite camping facilities can be found at Crawford Hills County Park which offers 25 sites with ample parking room for trailers. Motorcycles must display a Jackson County Permit before riding trails and can be purchased at various local businesses. There is an ATV trail that cuts through the area however it is off-limits to motorcycles unless the are street legal or trying to connect to other single track trails.

This area offers two separate areas for OHV use – one for motorcycles and one for ATVs. Motorcycles are not allowed on the ATV trails unless they are street legal and ATVs are not allowed in the motorcycle area. The motorcycles area offers 16 miles of trails and the ATV trail system has 135 miles of trails. Nearby Snyder County Campgroud offers direct trail access and a lake with a boat ramp.

Open to both ATVs and motorcycles this 20-mile trail follows the scenic eastern side of the Chequamegon Waters Flowage until it intersects with Hwy 64. The forest mainly consists a mixture of various oak, maple, aspen and birch trees over hilly terrain. The Chippewa Campground offers direct trail access along with two beach areas, a boat ramp and ample parking for trailers.

This popular state recreation are offers about 7 miles of ATV trails which consist of several deep holes, sharp turns and flat sections. Terrain is a mix of scenic forest, rolling grasslands and wetlands. A trail pass is required which can be purchased for $4.00 at the park office. Other activities include camping, fishing, swimming and a large open field for model aircraft. Snowmobiles are permitted during winter months. Call the park before making the trip because trail use is determined on a daily basis.

Quads are allowed and the tracks are designed for both novice and expert riders. Onsite amenities include a parts and repair shop and heated concrete pits. A separate relaxing lobby offers concession stands and video games along with wi-fi access.

The soil is sandy and loose and parts of the track wind through the trees with naturnal elevation changes. Primitive camping is allowed for $10 per vehicle and fires are permitted only in designated pits. Practice fees run about $25.
