| Robledo Mountains OHV Trail System | ||
Robledo Mountains OHV Trail System ![]() Status: Open Type: Trail (BLM) Location: Las Cruces, NM Difficulty: View Details... View Map... Print...The Robledo Mountains OHV Area is a large area with mutiple 4x4 trails in the hills and mountains just northwest of Las Cruces. The main access road is mild up to and well past the main parking area as it heads past the rock mine and into the mountains. Take a left at the fork while you are in the canyon to reach the first network of rocky and steep 4x4 trails, as well as the mountain bike trail (non-motorized vehicles only). There are plenty more trails and diversions, mostly off to the left (south) of the main road. You might not find these trails as fun on a dirt bike or ATV, because the area is very dry and rocky, with no trees or shade. There are no fees, but no services either, so come prepared. This trail system is more popular with 4x4 enthusiasts and the Las Cruces 4WD Club often hosts the annual Chile Challenge jeep event here. |
