The 2nd Annual Ride For Rescue Thunder in the Bluffs is scheduled for September 7-8 near Glenwood, Iowa. The event kicks off at the Mid America Motorplex and will take riders on a new route that consists of a scenic backroads ride through the Losses Hills then back to the MotorPlex for live entertainment, NHRA Drags, vendors and more. The ride is 58 miles long and will consists of mostly dirt roads. There will be plenty of stops along the route for food, drinks and fuel. The ATV rodeo, drag races and mud bogs will be held on Sunday, September 8.
Cost is $25 per driver and $5 per rider. Signups for the drag race, rodeo and mud bogs is $5 per event and registration must be done at the Ride for Rescue check In trailer no later than 6pm Saturday evening.
Camping will be available Friday and Saturday at the MotorPlex and is $25/night for RV sites and $3/night for non-hookup sites. Spaces are limited and reservations are highly recommended as this event coincides with the Losses Hills Motorcycle Rally. The event will help raise funds for the United States ATV Search and Rescue.
