The Coal Mine Road is a rugged 4x4 trail that goes by eight small lakes and offers excellent mountain views plus decent fishing. The trail is usually not passable until mid summer and large trailers are not recommended.
Cabin rentals are available near Ken’s Pond and Coal Mine #5 Pond. There is no fee charged but reservations are required and must be made at least six months in advance.
