This area offers miles of marked trails that sprawl over BLM and National Forest land. The Lombard Trail starts from the Yankee Fork Visitor Center and heads west about 13 miles toward the ghost town of Bayhorse, which is a center point for more trails.

Vegetation consists of scrub and sage brush at lower elevations and mixed pine trees at higher elevations. The parking area next to the Yankee Fork State Park is open year round however the Bayhorse parking area is closed during the winter months.

1) Take Hwy 93 South about 1 mile
2) Turn right (west) on SR-75, then immediatley turn right (north) into the Visitor Center.

For Bayhorse Staging Area:
3) Continue west on SR-75 past the visitor center about 8 miles
4) Look for bridge crossing on the right, cross over the Salmon River
5) Turn right (east) on Centenial Flat Road, continue about 100 yards
6) Turn left (north-west) on Bayhorse Creek Road, continue about 3 miles
7) Staging area is on the right.
