The stretch of BLM land has no trees, shade or amenities, but is very close to Pyramid Lake and offers a handful of desert trails suitable for any beginner.

The area mainly consists of sandy jeep trails and a couple of short makeshift motocross loops with some berms and small rockers. Primitive camping is permitted, and the area is reasonably accessible to RVs and large trailers.

1) Take Pyramid Hwy north about 25 miles (Pyramid Hwy eventually turns into SR-445)
2) After going over small bridge immediately turn left (west)
3) Continue about .5 miles to the staging area.
