Alt Names

Three Sister Hills, Little North Pembina River, Yellow Bank, Swinkys Trail, Norman Atta, Frost Fire Mountain Ski Area, Round Mountain, Butch's Cabin, Three Sisters

Last Known StatusOpen

Located near the Walhalla Country Club, this new trail system opened to the public in June 2012. There are currently over 20 miles of marked trails that are mostly hard packed and smooth. The trails mostly wind through a scenic forest but occasional breaks provide scenic vistas of the surrounding valleys, rivers and Three Sister Hills.

The trail system is open to motorized use from the third weekend in May until mid October, but will also close temporarily due to significant rainfall, so check Facebook or call first before heading out. There is no fee charged to ride but machines must display a current North Dakota OHV sticker.
