Located in the Ouachita National Forest, this trail is about 23 miles long and follows an old military road that was built in 1832. The Boardstand Road and Old Military Road Trail is marked with white rectangles and is open to dirt bikes and non-motorized use.

The Ouachita National Recreation Trail is open to hiking only and is marked with blue rectangles. There are multiple staging areas however only two offer access for motorized use. The area is open year-round however the best time to visit is between the fall and spring months.
