Shanks Quarry

Alt Names

Black Hills National Forest, Schroeder Trailhead, Norris Peak, Loveland Canyon, Boxelder Creek

Last Known StatusClosed For Season

This area has about 15 miles of mostly easy and wide double track trails. The terrain is mostly hardpacked with the occasional loose chunk rock.

The trail system has two designated staging areas with plenty of room for parking and camping but no services. Also note that unless the machines are street legal, there is no direct offroad access to the other motorized trails of the Black Hills National Forest, so plan accordingly.
