Round 4 of the AZOP Racing Series brought racers and fans from across Arizona and beyond to the beautiful Camp Verde Equestrian Center for a high-energy weekend of off-road competition at the Camp Verde GP. With over 450 race entries and more than 1,000 spectators, this event proved to be one of the most exciting and well-attended rounds yet.
Nestled in central Arizona, Camp Verde has deep roots dating back to the mid-1800s as the location of Fort Verde, a military post during the Indian Wars. Today, the town is known for its warm hospitality, historic sites, and outdoor recreation—making it an ideal venue for AZOP’s family-friendly racing series.
Arizona Offroad Promotions (AZOP) is one of the state’s premier off-road racing organizations, known for its well-organized events, variety of race classes, and inclusive environment. From young Stacyc riders to seasoned UTV pros, AZOP offers a race class for everyone, making it the perfect starting point for beginners and a competitive platform for experienced racers.
Spectators were treated to two full days of nonstop racing, with 10 races scheduled each day. Saturday kicked off with a morning practice session, giving riders a chance to scout the rugged course before racing began. The track delivered challenging terrain, fast straightaways, tight corners, and elevation changes that kept competitors and fans on their toes.
With over 1,000 spectators, the Camp Verde GP felt like a festival of speed. Fans lined the fences, cheered from shaded areas, and enjoyed the community vibe that AZOP events are known for. Whether watching their kids ride Stacycs or catching the roar of Pro UTVs, there was something for everyone throughout the weekend.
The momentum rolls into Round 5 at the Mormon Lake GP, where cooler temps and pine-lined trails await. Riders, get ready for another epic weekend of AZOP racing in Arizona’s high country!
