AZOP Racing brought two full days of high-speed, off-road competition to the Long Mountain Event Center in Kingman, Arizona, on April 5th and 6th. With a mix of wild winds on Saturday and warm, calmer weather on Sunday, the weekend delivered top-tier racing conditions and tons of excitement.
Located along historic Route 66 in northwestern Arizona, Kingman is a desert town with rich Old West roots and a vibrant motorsports scene. Known as the "Heart of Route 66," Kingman offers scenic desert landscapes, unique roadside attractions, classic diners, museums, and plenty of outdoor recreation—including OHV trails, hiking, and camping opportunities. Its small-town charm and off-road-friendly terrain make it the perfect destination for a Grand Prix event like this one.
Over 450 race entries were recorded across the weekend, with around 264 racers from all over Arizona and beyond—Kingman, Flagstaff, Phoenix, and more—showing up to compete for AZOP 2025 series points. About 1,000 spectators lined the fences and cheered from the sidelines, adding to the adrenaline-pumping atmosphere.
The track featured approximately a 4-mile GP-style course (shortened for Peewee racers) with terrain that challenged riders of all levels. With over 50 classes available for motorcycles, quads, stacycs, surrons, and UTVs—racers of all ages and experience levels (Pro, Amateur, Novice, Beginner, and age-specific) found their place on the course. Safety was a top priority, with sweepers on course at all times to ensure everyone stayed safe.
From first-time racers to seasoned pros, the Kingman Grand Prix offered something for everyone—thrilling terrain, fierce competition, and a great family-friendly racing environment.
